View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SOMERSET – Dana B. Adams, 59, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2008, after a short battle with cancer, at the Kimwell Nursing Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Franklin “Bud” Adams and the late Lois E. (Davis) Adams, he was the husband of Deborah (Minkin) Adams, with whom he shared twenty years of marriage.
A graduate with the Class of 1967 of Somerset High School, Mr. Adams worked for C&C Yacht of Middletown for many years, and Shannon Boat of Bristol, before becoming a testing technician at Borg-Warner/Velvet Drive Transmission in New Bedford. He was a passionate Harley Davidson rider and a meticulous mechanic. He built his own Harley and helped repair many other bikes for friends and acquaintances. Harley’s were his second love, his wife being his first great love, and his garage was his second home. He was liked by everyone he met. His life philosophy was, “It is what it Is.”
In addition to his wife, Mr. Adams is survived by a son, Jason Adams of Kingston, NY; a sister, Gail E. Gosson of Somerset; two brothers, David D. Adams and his wife Pat of Ossipee, NH, and Jeffrey S. Adams and his wife Mary of Portsmouth, RI; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Dana B. Adams, II.
