Doris (Freeman) Jordan

TAUNTON/ BRIDGEWATER – Doris (Freeman) Jordan, 89, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, in Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Verner and Hulda (Granfors) Freeman, she was the widow of Harry Wesley Jordon, who died December 12, 1999.

Educated in the Brockton Public Schools, Mrs. Jordan was a long time resident of Bridgewater, having moved to Taunton sixteen years ago. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Bridgewater, a long time volunteer at the Braemoor Nursing Home in Brockton, and enjoyed crafts and knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Ingeborg Lodge in Brockton.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by two daughters, Lois Crapo and Priscilla Merrey, both of Taunton; and a son, Bruce Jordan of Nebraska. She was the grandmother of Michael, Rhonda, Scott , Daphne, Jessica and Kyle and the great-grandmother of six.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the United Methodist Church, 35 School Street, Bridgewater, Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at 10:00AM.
