View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Malcolm G. King, 75, of Fall River, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, in Fall River. Born in Harlan, Kentucky, the son of the late Silas and Sally (Osborne) King, he was the husband of the late Sophie (Pasternak) King.
Mr. King was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Armed Forces with the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked as a correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Pondville Correctional Facility, retiring in 2006. Mr. King was a member of the Massasoit and Narragansett Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Fall River. He enjoyed attending Navy reunions with his buddies and former sailors, and enjoyed walking, traveling, and the outdoors.
Mr. King leaves a daughter, Sharon M. Anderson of Ipswich, MA; a son, Malcolm G. King, Jr., of Swansea; a granddaughter, Jenny Anderson of Denver, Colorado. He was the brother of the late Tillman and Buster King.
Funeral Information
CALLING HOURS will be held WEDNESDAY, June 11, 2008, from 4:00-7:00PM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will take place on Friday in the Resthaven Cemetery in Harlan, Kentucky.
