Elmer M. LaRue

WOONSOCKET – Elmer M. LaRue, 84, of Pond St., Woonsocket, formerly of Fox Brook Manor in Blackstone, MA, died Monday, January 28, 2008, in the Woonsocket Health Center in Woonsocket. Born in Everett, MA, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Hansen) Larue, he was the husband of the late Nellie (Vetovis) LaRue.

Mr. LaRue, a resident of Blackstone, MA, for fifty years before moving to Woonsocket, worked for Tech Industries of Woonsocket for ten years before retiring in 1990. He had served as a Sergeant with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 498 and the Fairmont American Legion Post 85.

He leaves one sister, Helen M. Dixon of Woonsocket; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alfred P. LaRue and Marie Newell.
