LaRue, 84, of Pond St., Woonsocket, formerly of Fox Brook Manor in Blackstone, MA, died Monday, January 28, 2008, in the Woonsocket Health Center in Woonsocket. Born in Everett, MA, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Hansen) Larue, he was the husband of the late Nellie (Vetovis) LaRue.
Mr. LaRue, a resident of Blackstone, MA, for fifty years before moving to Woonsocket, worked for Tech Industries of Woonsocket for ten years before retiring in 1990. He had served as a Sergeant with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 498 and the Fairmont American Legion Post 85.
He leaves one sister, Helen M. Dixon of Woonsocket; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alfred P. LaRue and Marie Newell.
