Irene M. Kirkland

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Irene M. (O'Brien) Kirkland, 88 years old, died at her home on Thursday, April 13, 2006, fulfilling her wish to die at home. Born and raised on King Philip St. Raynham to the late Walter and Irene O'Brien she was educated in Raynham and Taunton Schools.
She retired, due to a disability, from Paul A Dever State School and was previously a nurse's aid at Morton Hospital. She later was a kennel owner raising greyhounds. Irene enjoyed being independent, gardening and cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was the widow of Mitchell V. Kirkland, II and mother of Mitchell V. Kirkland of Wareham and William Kirkland of Raynham. She was the grandmother of eight and the great grandmother of ten. She is the sister of Chrystal Harnois of Dennisport and Lillian Weedon of FL and sister of the late Agnes Miller, Alice DeCosta, Walter George and William O'Brien.
Funeral Information
A Funeral Service will be held in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South) Taunton on Tueaday, April 18, 2006 at 1PM. Visiting hours will be from 11AM to 1Pm prior to the Service. Interment will be in Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham.
