Mabel R. (Saunders) Hartford

ASSONET, MA – Mabel R. (Saunders) Hartford, 87, of Dalton, MA, formerly of Assonet, MA , and a summer resident of Laconia, NH, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Providence Care Center of Lennox, MA. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Mabel T. Read, she was the wife of the late Lynwood Hartford.

A graduate of BMC Durfee High School in Fall River, Mrs. Hartford worked as an assembler for various manufacturing companies in the area. Retiring several years ago, she relocated to Naples, Florida.

Mrs. Hartford leaves three sons, Fred Hartford of Fall River, Lynwood “Butch” Hartford of Assonet, and Harry Hartford, MD, of Richmond, MA; two sisters, Lilian Cerce of Naples, FL, and Margaret Silvan of Fall River; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Mary Bolduc.

Funeral Information

CALLING HOURS will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007, from 4:00-7:00PM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
