Raymond D. Rose

Raymond D. Rose, 66, of Berkley, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of forty-seven years to Janice L. (Perry) Rose.
Raymond was born in Taunton, the son of the late Anthony and Angelina (Thomas) Rose. He was a graduate of Dighton -Rehoboth Vocational High School class of 1968. Mr. Rose served the Town of Berkley as the Highway Superintendent and Tree Warden for over thirty years, retiring in 2002. Ray loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and cooking. He could build and fix just about anything.
Survivors besides his wife are three sons: Scott M. Rose and his wife Sarah, Robert R. Rose and his wife Kathleen and Michael J. Rose and his wife Diane all of Berkley; five grandchildren: Abigail, Emily, Thomas, Ryan, and Jason; two sisters: Olive Bennett and her husband John of Phoenix, AZ; Linda Wysong and her husband Frank of Epsom, NH; two brothers: Anthony Rose and his wife Elaine of Berkley; and Daniel Rose and his wife Donna of Assonet; a sister in law: Shirley Rose of Assonet. He was the brother of the late Brenda Stratton and William Rose.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 10am, in Saint Bernard Church, 30 South Main Street, Assonet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, directly to the church. Burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
