Debra L. “Debbie” (Crumley) Eddleston

Debra L. “Debbie” (Crumley) Eddleston, 57, of New Bedford, and formerly of Fairhaven, passed away unexpectedly after a long illness, Thursday, June 8, 2017, in Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River. She was the wife of 31 years, of Herbert “Sonny” Eddleston.
Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late James F. and Marilyn J. (Sharples) Crumley, she had lived in Fairhaven for 25 years. Debbie was a longtime member of the South Primitive Methodist Church, in New Bedford.
Debbie was a very active volunteer and fund raiser. She worked with the Fairhaven Senior Center, the Fort Taber/Fort Rodman Military Museum and the Mass Maritime Parents Association. She was the former President of the Wood School PTA and a longtime Girl Scout Leader for the Troop 51 Brownies for her daughters.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sarah A. Eddleston and Rachael L. Eddleston both of New Bedford; a son, Aaron Eddleston of Fairhaven; three sisters, Jayne Hughes and her husband Robert of Huachuca, AZ, Sheila Oliveira of Fall River and Barbara Crumley of Chandler, AZ; two brothers, Jay Crumley and his wife Donna of Acushnet and Roy Crumley of Melbourne, FL; and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday, from 6-9pm, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 10:00am, in the funeral home followed by interment in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
