Roseanna B. (St. Onge) Oliver-Norcross

FAIRHAVEN – Roseanna B. (St. Onge) Oliver-Norcross, 93, of Fairhaven, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John Oliver and the late Milton Norcross. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Roseanna (Patnaude) St. Onge. She resided part of her life in Florida before returning to Fairhaven.

Mrs. Oliver-Norcross was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven and worked as a stitcher for many years. She was a member of the Sixth Bristol Club Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing and traveling most of all.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond St. Onge and his wife Pearl and Wilfred St. Onge and his wife Paula, all of Acushnet; two sisters, Beatrice Desjeunes and Janice C. Medeiros and her husband Antone, all of Fairhaven; sisters-in-law, Annette St. Onge of New Bedford and Emily St. Onge of Fairhaven; and godchildren, Richard Audette of Fairhaven and Joyce Botelho of New Bedford and Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Adelard and Alexis St. Onge and Florence Lincoln.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 10:00AM from THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, 41 Walnut St., Fairhaven. Interment will be in Tabor Cemetery, Acushnet. Calling hours are Monday from 4:00-6:00PM in the funeral home.
