Nancy A. Vanasse

Nancy  A. (Taillon)  Vanasse  age  47,  who lived most of her life on Prospect St. In Manville, died Monday, March 13, 2006  after an eighteen  year  battle  with  Multiple Sclerosis, in the Morgan Health Center in Johnston where she had been a resident  for the past  ten years. She was  the wife of  Robert  Vanasse. She was  born in Woonsocket  on  March 28, 1958 a daughter of  Ernest  “Walter” and  Annette  I. (Turenne)  Taillon of  Manville.

She was a communicant of St. James  Church in  Manville.  She received an Associate Degree from CCRI and a BA from RI College and a Masters in Education in 1987 from RI. College.  Nancy was the Director of the Child Care Center on Blackstone  Bloulevard in Providence from 1986 until 1993. While at the Morgan Health Center she was  the Vice  President of the residents  council and  was  active in the Activities Council and was a  Childrens  Mentor for several  local schools  for reading and arts and crafts.  

Besides  her parents  she leaves one sister Jeanne  B.  Fortier  of  Woonsocket and three brothers  Ronald M. Taillon of Lincoln,  Walter N. Taillon  of  Magnolia, DE  and  David R. Taillon  of  East Providence. Four Nieces and one nephew and  three grand nephews. She was  the  sister  of the late  Robert Taillon.

Funeral Information

Her  Funeral  will be held on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 9 AM from THE MENARD  FUNERAL  HOME,  127  Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket followed by a Mass of  Christian  Burial at 10 AM in St. James  Church, Division St. Manville.  Burial  will follow in the family  lot in St. James  Cemetery, Old River Road in Manville. Calling  Hours are Thursday, March 16, 2006 from  4 to 8 PM.

In lieu of  flowers  donations in her  memory to Hospice care of RI, 169  George St. Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.
