Clifford A. Ford

Clifford A. Ford, 97, lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away, Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was the husband of the late Beryl E. (Richardson) Ford.
Clifford was born in Fall River and was a son of the late Robert and Amanda (Harrison) Ford.
Clifford was a 1937 graduate of BMC Durfee High School and was a US Navy veteran of World War II, having participated in the invasion of Normandy, France. Clifford served as the store keep at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School for many years and worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Planair Sheet Metal, in Providence, for over 30 years. He was a member of the 3rd Baptist and Barrington Baptist Church, and life member of the Montaup Country Club. Clifford was an outstanding athlete both on the field and on the golf course. He was club champion at Montaup 4 times, and shot his age 219 times. He was extremely devoted to his faith and his family.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Ford and his wife Tracy of Swansea and Robert Ford and his wife Jackie of Green Valley, AZ; daughter, Laurie Britto of Lisbon Falls, ME; grandchildren, Kris, DJ, Danyelle, Nicholas, and AAron; and a great-grandchild, Cameron.
He was the father of the late Beryl “Bunny” Ferreira and brother of the late Stanley Ford and Ruth Sutten.
