Barry J. Sanders

TAUNTON – Barry J. Sanders, 65, died at his home Wednesday evening, March 4, 2009. Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Reilly) Sanders, he was the husband of Jeannette (Hebert) Sanders.

A 1961 graduate of New Bedford High School, Mr. Sanders was a retired quality engineer for the Gillette Co. in South Boston and Roman Plating in Attleboro. He had been a resident of the Raynham and Taunton area for the past thirty years, and was a member of the American Society for Quality Control; past vice-president of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club; and a member of the Air Force Association Taunton Squadron #1.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Karen (Sanders) Carlson and her husband David Carlson of Rehoboth, Barry C. Sanders and his wife Kristie (Downey) Sanders of Taunton, and Ryan Sanders and his wife Laura (Brodeur) Sanders of Marlboro. He was the grandfather of Mathew and Jennifer Sanders and Alyssa and Lindsay Carlson.

Funeral Information

His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Monday, March 9, 2009, at 10:00AM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 8, from 4:00-7:00PM.
