Beatrice B. (Bonneau) Filipek

NEW BEDFORD – Beatrice B. (Bonneau) Filipek, 102, of Dartmouth, died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Walter Filipek. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Florence (Griswold) Bonneau, she lived most of her life in Dartmouth, the last seven years with her niece Patricia Wunschel and her husband Bob.

Mrs. Filipek and her husband were the operators of the former Sleepy Hollow Cabins in Dartmouth, which also became the former Lido Motel. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and crocheting and was a member and past president of the Dartmouth Seniors and the Dartmouth Grange.

She is survived by three sisters, Inez Blair of California and Doris Koczwara and Irene Manny, both of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
