Sara L. (Faxon) Tetreault, 60, of New Bedford died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Raymond A. Tetreault and the long time companion of the late Ronald J. Moniz.

Born March 26, 1945 in New Bedford the daughter of the late Henry Faxon and the late Dorothy (Lake) Gomes. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, New Bedford and lived most of her life in Fairhaven.

Ms. Tetreault was a longtime cook at the Homestead in New Bedford. Prior to that, she worked at various nursing facilities as a nurse's aide and cook. She enjoyed cooking and baking with her granddaughter, Fort Phoenix, trips to Maine, trips to Foxwoods and Newport Jai Ali, and spending time with her family especially her granddaughter who was her greatest joy.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Tetreault and his wife Tracy of New Bedford and Jonathan Tetreault of New Bedford; a daughter, Lori Tetreault of New Bedford; a brother-in-law, John Graviel of Fairhaven; a granddaughter, Carleigh Tetreault of New Bedford; and a niece and Godchild, Jayne Graviel of Carver. She was the sister of the late Patricia Graviel.

Funeral Information

Her Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the First Church of the Nazarene, New Bedford. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. Calling hours are Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
