View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Alexander J. "Zeke" Veradt, Jr., 71, died at his home on Sunday, March 11, 2007, surrounded by his family. Born in Taunton, a son of the late Alexander and Irene (Courcy) Veradt, he was the husband of Cynthia “Cindy” (Lepage) Veradt. He was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.
Mr. Veradt was a retired quality control inspector for Polaroid. He achieved the title of Life Member of the American Cribbage Congress. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his wife and friends playing cards, especially cribbage, in Stoughton.
Besides his wife, Mr. Veradt is survived by a daughter, Karen Denise Furlong and her husband David of Middleboro; and his grandson, Jared Bernier of Middleboro. He was the brother of Irene Dresser and Emile Veradt of Taunton and the late Armand Veradt; and the uncle of several.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Paul’s Church on Friday, March 16, 2007, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, MA.
