Maurice E. Delisle

September 27, 1910 - June 26, 2006

Maurice E. Delisle, 95 of Grant Avenue Somerset, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at the St Elizabeth Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. He was the husband of the late Edwidge (Plamondon) Delisle. He was born in Fall River on September 27, 1910, a son of the late Henri & Marie ( St. Pierre) Delisle.

He worked in the supply department at the Newport Torpedo Station for 6 years, and was also a self employed carpenter for 16 years before he retired in 1972. He has lived in Somerset since 1943 coming from Fall River, he was a parishioner of St Louis De France church. He was a former member of the Somerset Village Senior Citizens. He was Married for 54 years before his wife died. He was a member of the Somerset Chorus for many years.

He is survived by 2 daughters Claire M Botelho of Somerset, Louise L Christian of Somerset, a sister Laurence Delisle of Bristol RI, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gerard Delisle, Uylsse Delisle, Dolores Fisette, Lucille Desisle,

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 9:00am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St Louis De France Church Buffington St Swansea, burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery Somerset. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 4 - 8pm.
