Armand L. Gauthier

SOMERSET – Armand L. Gauthier, 61, of Fitzgerald Rd., died in his home Saturday, November 29, 2008. Born in Fall River, a devoted son to the late Cecile ( Napert) Gauthier and Armand A. Gauthier of Somerset, he has been a Somerset resident for the past forty-two years.

Mr. Gauthier was a manager at Swank, Incorporated, in Taunton, MA, where he had been employed for more than forty years. He was instrumental in the Swank Factory Store Division, managing their factory stores across the country. Armand was a United States Navy veteran and a parishioner of St. Louis De France Church in Swansea. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his many friends.

He is survived by his father, Armand A. Gauthier of Somerset; a godchild, Sarah Alves of Taunton; his close friends, Russell Allen of Dighton, Michael Donovan of Berkley, and many other friends. Armand was a man who would do anything for anybody if he could. He was well respected and liked; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 9:00AM from THE HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Louis De France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00–7:00PM in the funeral home.
