BERKLEY – Frederick B. White, 78, died at his home on Sunday evening, December 21, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Stewart and Carrie (Burnham) White, he was the husband of Betty (Poole) White of Berkley.

A lifetime resident of Berkley and a U. S. Navy veteran of WW II, Mr. White was a founding member of the Berkley Athletic Association and a former member of the Berkley Lions Club. He was the owner of White’s Realty as well as a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union #51, and a member of the Bristol County Beekeepers Association. He owned and operated White’s Honeymakers Farm with his loving wife Betty.

Mr. White took great pride in the success and notoriety of his honey stand. He would naturally befriend each and every honey customer, and was a remarkable lover of nature as well as an avid gardener. He enjoyed antiques and working with numbers, especially the Lottery. His greatest joy of all was the time spent with his family.

Besides his wife, Mr. White is survived by two daughters, Dawn Furtado and her husband Steven of East Taunton and Karen Polak and her husband Barry of Lincoln, RI; and his son, Dean White and his companion Diane Wick of Taunton. He was the loving grandfather of Traci Furtado of East Taunton, Steven Furtado of San Diego, CA, and Kyla Polak of Lincoln, RI. He was the brother of Naomi Clifford of Seminole, FL, and Stewart White of Assonet and the late Ruth Bettencourt, Caleb White and Edward White.
