View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Israel Vallejo, 54, of New Bedford died Sunday, October 23, 2005 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was the former husband of Shirley E. (Sweet) Vallajo of New Bedford. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, the son of Maria Vega of Puerto Rico and the late Esteban Vallejo, he came to New Bedford in 1967.
Mr. Vallejo drove bus for Tremblay Bus Co. and prior for Whaling City Bus Co. He enjoyed flying airplanes and spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his mother; former wife; a son, Michael Vallejo and his companion Michelle Arruda of Acushnet; his granddaughter, Valencia Vallejo and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
