WOONSOCKET – Cecile Y. Remillard, 80, of Chesley St., Millville, MA, and Clermont, FL, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in Mt. St. Francis Nursing Home in Woonsocket. Born in Canada, a daughter of the late Legger and Rita LaFontaine, she was the devoted wife of Lucien R. Remillard, to whom she was married for fifty-four years.

Mrs. Remillard was a resident of Millville for the past thirty-eight years and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. She was a floor lady for the Polly Top Corporation of North Smithfield for twenty years before retiring.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Michael R. Remillard of Millville, MA, and Paul G. Remillard of Worcester, MA; one daughter, Betty N. McGourty of Lincoln, RI; two brothers, Gracien and Armand LaFontaine, both in Canada; and three sisters, Jeanne LaFevre, Mariette Brodeur and Lizette Savard, all of Canada; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister the late Giselle Deslauriers.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 9:00AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Augustine Church, 17 Lincoln Street, Millville, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held in the MENARD HOME on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00PM.
