Mary B. “Mae” Fagan, 100, of New Bedford died Monday July 31, 2006 in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph B. and the late Jennie (Thomas) Fagan, she was a lifelong resident of the city and communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.

Miss Fagan was a telephone operator for many years for New England Telephone and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

She is survived by a sister, Doris I. Dawes of Fairhaven and many nieces and nephews. Miss Fagan was the sister of the late Joseph, Francis, Helen and Alice Fagan and Jeannette Mulvey.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Interment in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
