View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Rita M. (Sullivan) Thorpe, 84, of Bank St., Fall River, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the Kimwell Nursing Home. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Francis & Mary (Custy) Sullivan, she was the wife of the late William T. Thorpe.
Mrs. Thorpe was a Laundry Worker for the Independent Laundry and also the St Vincent’s Home for over 20 years before retiring in 1974. She was a lifelong Fall River resident and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed doing ceramics.
Mrs. Thorpe is survived by two daughters; Margaret “Peggy” Charette of Fall River and Debra Guy of Lakeville, a brother James Sullivan of Fall River. She was the grandmother of three and the great grandmother of one. She was the sister of the late Francis Sullivan Jr.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:00am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St Fall River MA, burial will follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Saturday at 8:30am -9:30am prior to the service.
