REHOBOTH– Milton L. Knox, Sr., 75, of Bay State Road, Rehoboth, died in the Jane Brown Unit of Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI, Saturday, May 10, 2008. Born in Seekonk, MA, a son of the late Maynard and Mildred (Luther) Knox, he was the devoted husband of Sally T. (Hurrell) Knox, to whom he was married fifty-two years.

A fifty-year resident of Rehoboth, having previously resided in Seekonk, Mr. Knox was an active member of the Rehoboth Congregational Church. He had proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Following his military service he was employed as a machinist by the Providence Journal Company, serving in that capacity for thirty-two years before retiring in 1995.

His favorite hobbies were bowling and photography. He was a call fireman for the Rehoboth Fire Department and had served as a member of the Rehoboth Call Firefighters Association Ball Committee for twenty years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Knox leaves one son, Milton L.,“Skip” Knox, Jr., and his wife Christine M. Knox of Attleboro; two daughters, Sheila J. and her husband Russell W. Westcott of Skowhegan, ME, and Susan D. and her husband Robert W. Gauthier, Jr., of Groveton, NH; one brother, Edwin M. Knox of Boca Raton, FL; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 10:30AM in the Rehoboth Congregational Church, Bay State Road, Rehoboth. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Rehoboth Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152), Attleboro.
