Jacinta S. (Varao) Pimentel, 95, of Somerset passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2012 at the Clifton Skilled Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. She was the wife of the late Denis Pimentel.

Jacinta was born in the Azores the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Rosario) Varao. Mrs. Pimentel devoted her life to raising her family. She was a communicant of Saint John of God Church and enjoyed sewing.

Survivors are three daughters: Guiomar Travassos of the Saint Michael, Azores; Guilhermina Vieira of Somerset, MA; Maria Carvalho of Rehoboth, MA; three sons: Fernando Pimentel of Saint Michael, Azores; Daniel Pimentel of Canada; Manuel Pimentel of Fall River, MA; thirty-two grandchildren and many great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 8am from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 9am in Saint John of God Church 996 Brayton Ave. Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow on Saint Patrick Cemetery in Somerset. CALLING HOURS will be held on THURSDAY from 4-8pm
