View Tribute and Sign Guestbook ATTLEBORO – Augustin Ramos Ortiz, 78, of South Avenue, Attleboro, died Monday, May 21, 2007, in the Golden Living Center Bristol in Attleboro. Born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Monserrate and Maria (Ortiz) Ramos, he was married to Hilda (Moreano) Ramos for thirty years.
Mr. Ortiz resided in Attleboro since 1972, having previously lived in New York. He worked as an assembler for the Plastic Craft Company of Attleboro, and later was employed by the Water Department of the Attleboro CETA program. He was a member of the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Hereos de la Fe Church in Attleboro.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, Jose Ramos of New Bedford, Augustin J. and his wife Rose M. Ramos of Attleboro, Raymond Navarro of Attleboro, and Arcadio Navarro of Fall River; five daughters, Yolanda Ramos of Central Falls, RI, Millie Ramos, Mayra Ramos and Luz Santigo-Amaro, all of Attleboro, and Grisel Ramos of Pawtucket, RI; one brother, Ramon Ramos in Puerto Rico; and two sisters, Maria Virginia Cumba of Puerto Rico and Maria Ortiz of Chicago, IL. He also leaves twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held on Wednesday. May 23, 2007, at 11:00AM in the Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Church, at the corner of East St. and James St., in Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, West St. Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday in the Church from 2:00 to 8:00PM.
