FAIRHAVEN – James A. L'Italien, 48, of Fairhaven, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Sylvia) L’Italien. Born and brought up in New Bedford, the son of Shirley (Przymierski) L’Italien of Mattapoisett and the late Ronald L’Italien, he was a graduate of New Bedford High School and attended Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mr. L’Italien was a digital printer for ABC Imaging of Boston and had resided in Fairhaven for the past twenty-one years. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of both Allendale and the Country Club of New Bedford. He also had played softball in moderate pitch leagues in both Dartmouth and Fairhaven.

In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a son, Luke L’Italien of Fairhaven; his mother and father-in-law, Betty and Leon Sylvia of Fairhaven; a brother, Thomas L’Italien of New Bedford; two sisters, Deirdre Enos and her husband Randy of Mattapoisett and Raquel Powers of Marion; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009, from 2:00-5:00PM with a funeral service at 4:00PM in THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. Cremation will follow.
