Evelyn R. Watters

Evelyn R. Watters, lifelong resident of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on her 95th birthday, November 11, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Oscar E. Watters.
Evelyn was born in Smithfield, RI, and was a daughter of the late Morris J. and Rose (Bois) Cote.
Evelyn was employed locally at Swank Manufacturing for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and word searches as well as trips to New Hampshire and Vermont with her family. Most of all, cooking and caring for her family brought Evelyn the greatest joy in life and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Watters of SC and David Watters of Taunton; daughters, Janice St. George and Patricia April and her husband Warren, all of S. Attleboro; brother, Paul Cote of N. Attleboro; sisters, Elaine Proulx and her husband Robert of Blackstone, and Jeannie Cortez and and Blanche Robert both of CA; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Ronald Watters and sister of the late Raymond, Omer, Leo Normond and Francis Cote, Beatrice Sarakin and Doris Rule.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 10am, in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 201,7 from 4-8pm, in the funeral home.
