ATTLEBORO – Joan S. (DaRosa) Cassidy, 72, formerly of Pine St., Attleboro, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the Evergreen House Nursing Home in East Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Cassidy.

Mrs. Cassidy was employed as a Nurse’s Aid for many years at the Miriam Hospital before retiring in 1982. A resident of Attleboro since the 1970s, coming from Pawtucket RI, made her residence the last five years in East Providence. She was a member of Post 443 VFW Auxiliary of North Attleboro.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Olson of Albany, New York, and Robert J. Olson of Attleboro; and a daughter, Cheryl Ann McMahon of Attleboro. She was the grandmother of Kayla Olson, Catherine Olson, Ashley E. McMahon. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph DaRosa.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Monday, February 22, 2010, at 9:00am in THE FOLEY- HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts, with burial to follow at 10:45am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
