View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Daniel Oliveira, Jr., 84, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Palm Bay Community Hospital, Palm Bay, FL. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Daniel and Alexandria (Pacheco) Oliveira, Sr., he was the beloved husband of Agnes Oliveira, to whom he had been married for the past thirty years.
He had been employed as a supervisor at the former Bradley-Scott Clothing Manufacturing Company of Fall River for twenty-five years.
Mr. Oliveira was a long time resident of Fall River prior to moving to Palm Bay in August 2007. An avid pigeon flyer, he was a member of the Fall River Pigeon Club. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII and a member of VFW Post 486 in Fall River. He thouroughly enjoyed traveling on cruises, going to Foxwoods Casino and watching Jai Lai.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; two sons, James (Barbara) Pereira of Somerset, MA and Keith Pereira of Green Bay, WI; one sister, Lucy Dube;
granddaughters, Jacqueline and Constance Pereira; sister-in-law and her husband, Fatima and Frank Wasilowski, his beloved dog Tammy, and a host of adored loving friends. He was father of the late Daniel B. Oliveira and brother of the late Alfred Oliveira.
Funeral Information
A calling of family & friends will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2008, from 5:00-8:00PMm in the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset. Services will be held Wednesday, April 30, from the Hathaway Funeral Home at 9:00AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00AM in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Howland Ave., Middletown, RI.
