View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NORTH ATTLEBORO – Richard J. "Pepere" Davignon, Jr., of Calvin Road, North Attleboro, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, a son of Marilyn (Maigret) Wood of Plainville and the late Richard J. Davignon, Sr., he was the husband of Debra (Shaw) Davignon, with whom he celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary Friday, August 14, 2009.
Mr. Davignon, a resident of North Attleboro for over twenty-five years, having come originally from Attleboro, was an oil truck driver for the Petro Oil Company of Woonsocket, formerly the DeBlois Oil Company, for over thirty-one years and a member of the Teamsters union. An avid NASCAR fan and collector, “Pepere” enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Ricky and his wife Tia Davignon of Attleboro; a daughter, Stacey G. and her husband Mark McMahon of Attleboro; two brothers, Scott Wood of New Hampshire and Jeffrey Wood of Georgia; a sister, Michelle Roberts of Attleboro; four grandchildren, Nicholas McMahon, Matthew McMahon, Christopher McMahon, and Emily Davignon; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Douglas Davignon, Barry Wood, and also the late Nicole Birch.
