View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Frank C. "Dirty Frank" Santos, Jr., 71, of New Bedford died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born July 15, 1934 in New Bedford the son of the late Frank C. Santos and the late Beatrice (Almeida) Costa, he lived in the New Bedford area all his life. Mr. Santos served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.
Mr. Santos worked as a mover for Martin Movers and A.D. McMullen. Mr. Santos was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Budweiser Crew of New Bedford, the Sidewinders of Fall River, the Brothers of the Third Wheel. He enjoyed riding his trike and going to bike shows. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved very much. Mr. Santos was well known and loved by many. He also loved fishing and was a strong supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his long time companion, Joanne LaMeire of New Bedford; five sons, Frank C. Santos, III of New Bedford, Daniel J. Santos of New Bedford, Michael A. Santos of New Bedford, Troy A. Santos of Dartmouth, and Keith Torres of New Bedford; two daughters, Corinna M. Carpenter and Lisa A. Lopes both of New Bedford; two step sons, Ricky S. Dexter of Fairhaven and Lawrence H. LaMeire, Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Antonette Biggers of Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard; twenty two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
His funeral service will be Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford followed by interment in Sacred Heart #2 Cemetery, New Bedford. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9.
