Norman L. Barriteau, 90, of Fairhaven died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Alden Court Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was the widower of Margaret Mary Barriteau.
Born in New Bedford the son of the late Arthur and Albertine (Tellier) Barriteau, he lived in New Bedford and Rhode Island before moving to Fairhaven 43 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven.

Mr. Barriteau worked as a lead burner for the New Bedford Rayon Company and the Greenhalgh Company in Rhode Island. He also worked for ICI America's Dighton and Universal Roofing.

He is survived by a son, Stephen L. Barriteau of Mattapoisett and a niece. He was the brother of the late Gerald Barriteau.

All services are private and under the direction of the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
