Elizabeth I. (Simmons) Paige

RAYNHAM – Elizabeth I. "Betty" (Simmons) Paige, 83, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the Life Care Center of Raynham. Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Herbert and Kathryn (Murphy) Simmons, she was the wife of Edwin Paige of Raynham, with whom she shared a sixty-three year marriage.

A resident of Raynham for more than fifty-three years, Betty was educated in the Dighton and Taunton Public Schools. She was a former clerk at the Buy and Save Store. Betty loved cats, birds and enjoyed the flowers in her garden. She was communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Edwin Paige, Jr., and his wife Patricia of North Dighton and Herbert Paige and his wife Jackie of Taunton; she was also the grandmother of Herbert Paige, Jr. and his fiancé Angela Francescon, both of Taunton. Betty was the sister of Mary Perry of Maine and the late Kay Vieira, Frances Jackson and Eleanor Woodruff, as well as the aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Church Monday, April 26, 2010, at 9:00AM to be followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
