ACUSHNET – Stanley A. Garcia, 68, of Wing Lane, Acushnet, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fairhaven, a son of the late Antone S. & Viola (Robinson) Garcia, he was the fiancé of Donna Tripp of Acushnet. A graduate with the Class of 1958 of Fairhaven High School, Mr. Garcia was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the HHB1st Battalion of the 211th Artillery Survey Party Chief. He received the National Defense Medal. A resident of Acushnet since 1970, have relocated from Fairhaven, Mr. Garcia worked as a lumper for more than thirty years while working in addition as a real estate broker. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven, and owned the Cedarwood Farms in Acushnet. He was also a member of the VFW as well as the American Legion in Fairhaven. During his lifetime, he had shown horses, was a barrel racer, and loved animals and nature. He enjoyed traveling with his fiancé and loved his family dearly as well as all of his pets. Besides his fiancé, he is survived by a son, Kristoffer L. and his wife Danielle S. Garcia of Freetown; a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Einstein and her fiancée George Sebilian of Bridgewater; a sister-in-law, Jane Garcia of Fairhaven; and a brother-in-law, Frank Jarvis of Fairhaven. He was the grandfather of Morgan, Molly, Mason Garcia, Bethany, Desiree Millett, James and Jeffrey Grace. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Earl S. Garcia and the late Harriet T. Jarvis. Funeral InformationHis funeral will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at 9:00AM from THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven, Massachusetts, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
