Stephen B. Hewey

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Stephen B. Hewey, 65 years died suddenly at his home in Reno, NV on June 10, 2006. Born in Taunton to the late Bernard D. and Marguerite (Waldron) Hewey, he was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grammar School and Coyle High School, Class of 1959. He was 1964 graduate of University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He enlisted in the Army and served in Korea with the Armed Forces Korean Network. After his discharge he worked and traveled extensively in the Northwest, including California, Washington, Oregon and Montana. At the time of his death he was employed as a Manager of Franchise operations for the Southland Corp, in Reno, NV.
Photography being one of his major interests, his camera was always within reach recording many events on film. And even through he lived more than 2000 miles away, he still followed and rooted for the his long time favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.
Stephen is survived by his brother Bernard D. Hewey and his wife Terri of Spokane, WA and his sisters, Martha E. Hewey of Taunton, Virginia Wynn and her husband Gary of New York, NY; Marguerite “Peggy” Howard and her husband William of North Easton, and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was also the brother of the late Elizabeth A. Hewey.
