He was the husband of Joan (Soares) Fisher-King. Born April 26, 1928 in Fall River, MA; he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (King) Bouvier.
Mr. King had been a Professional Machinist for forty-three years at the former Westrix Machine shop in Fall River retiring in 1990. He then worked as a security guard for Burns Security in Providence and also was the security guard for Titilest Company in Fairhaven. He was a former member of the New Bedford Rod and Gun Club in Dartmouth, MA and also a member of the Veterans of Forgein Wars Post # 486 in Fall River. Mr. King was a World War II Army Veteran.
He leaves his wife of thirty-one years, three daughters, Patricia Poitras of Westport, MA; Jo-Ann Rebello of Fall River, MA; Diane Moniz of Fall River, MA; two step-son’s, Robert J. Fisher of Carver, MA; and David A. Fisher of Fall River, MA; one step-daughter, Lisa A. Fisher of Carver, MA; one sister, Anna Gagnon of Somerset, MA; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
