Theresa L. (Lavoie) Gagne

FALL RIVER – Theresa L. (Lavoie) Gagne, 79, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Ovilia and Loretta (Gagne) Lavoie, she was the wife of the late Normand A. Gagne.

Mrs. Gagne devoted her life to raising her family. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Fall River. A devoted mother, she enjoyed making clothes for her children, shopping, and dining out.

She leaves five daughters, Claire T. Freitas and her husband Michael of Fall River, Pauline R. Freitas and her husband Wayne of Dartmouth (MA), Susan A. Gagne of Fall River, Doris J. Garant and her husband Donald of Fall River, and Alice M. Gagne of Fall River; a son, Paul N. Gagne of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Michelle, David, Kelly, Jason, Mark, Jenna, and Matthew; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Katelyn, Tyler, Kendra, and Mason; and her caregivers, granddaughter Kelly and her fiancée Jeremy; she also leaves by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond Lavoie.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Monday, March 2, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in the Holy Trinity Parish, 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours with Video Photo Album will take place Sunday, March 1, from 4:00-8:00PM.
