View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Rita E. (Frates) Orton, 87, of Swansea passed away November 24, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River she was the wife of the late George E. Orton Jr. Born in Fall River, MA on December 6, 1918 the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Wardle) Frates.
She spent her life raising her family. She enjoyed painting with water and oil colors, and enjoyed animals especially dogs.
Survivors are a daughter Muriel L. Frascatore of Fall River, MA two sons George E. Orton III of Swansea, MA Wayne E. Orton of Fall River, MA a sister Barbara Kisner of Fall River, MA eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Kevin B. Orton and Steven C. Frascatore.
Funeral Information
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 16, 2006 at 9am in Saint Dominic Church 1277 GAR Highway Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All arrangements are with the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA.
