View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Mary (Freitas) Carreiro, 88, of State Avenue in Fall River, died at her residence on Thursday, January 3, 2008. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Francisco & Mary (Moniz) Freitas, she was the wife of the late Manuel Carreiro.
She was the owner of the Cinderella Boutique Hair Salon from 1964 until 1997, and was a resident of Fall River for more than forty years, having originally come from Swansea.
She is survived by her friend and caregiver, Della Gonzales of Fall River, and her friends, Lewis C. & Barbara Gonzales of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and William & Maria Lima of Tiverton, RI; as well as by two nephews. She was the sister of the late John Freitas, Manuel Freitas, Frank Freitas, and the aunt of two late nieces.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008, at 8:30AM from THE HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Holy Rosary Church, 120 Beattie St., Fall River. Burial will follow the Mass in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Monday morning from 8:30–9:30AM, prior to the start of the funeral Mass.
