Woonsocket – Muriel D. (Lewberg) Giguere, 74, of Poplar Street, formerly of North Smithfield, RI, died Tuesday, April 03, 2007, at the Woonsocket Health Care Center. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Theresa (Mayer) Lewberg.

Mrs. Giguere worked as a Registered Nurse at the Woonsocket Health Care Center for many years, as well as at the Friendly Nursing Home and Saint Antoine’s. Mrs. Giguere was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church in Slatersville, RI. She enjoyed knitting and scrapbooking, primarily her grandchildren.

She leaves, one son, Karl Giguere; three step-daughters, Michelle Authier, Susane Giguere and Linda Cimini; four brothers, Robert, Albert, Emile and Ronald Lewberg; two sisters, Therese LaPierre and Cecile Farley; six grandchildren, Erik, Seth, and Jodie Giguere, Michael and Nicolas Authier and Joseph Cimini; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Nicholas Cimini, Kylie and Dylan Authier and Kristyana Giguere.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 10:15AM at the MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, to be followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville, RI. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 3:00-7:00PM.
