Irene R. Barboza, 91, of New Bedford and formerly of Mattapoisett, died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born September 27, 1914 in Mattapoisett the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Damos) Barboza she lived there most of her life before moving to New Bedford in 1971.
Miss Barboza was a healthcare worker for various organizations.

She is survived by two sisters, Anna Parker of Fairhaven and Alice Cruz of Freetown; two brothers, John Barboza of Fairhaven and Ernest Barboza of Brooksville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Services are private and under the direction of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
