Juliette M. (Desrosiers) Walker

TIVERTON, RI – Juliette M. (Desrosiers) Walker, 72, of Tiverton, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Louis and Irene (Hebert) Desrosiers, she was the wife of Alfred M. Walker, to whom she was married for forty-two years.

She was a graduate of the former Dominican Academy. Mrs. Walker worked at the counter at the former Guimond Farms Store in Tiverton for many years, and then worked for the Tiverton School Department with the school lunch program . A communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, oil painting, dancing, and was an animal enthusiast.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walker leaves two sons, Christopher M. Walker and his wife Shannon of Tiverton, and Daniel M. Walker and his wife Amy of Tiverton; a sister, Jeannette Gauthier of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren, Damon, Kayla, and Joshua; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Georgette Robertie.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Friday, May 23, 2008, at 9:00AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Christopher Church, Main Rd., Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow the funeral Mass in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully submitted. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 22, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
