Gloria C. (Souza) Theberge

NEW BEDFORD – Gloria C. (Souza) Theberge, 97, formerly of Portland St., New Bedford, died Saturday, August 8, 2009, at the Hathaway Manor Nursing Home in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Antone L. & Maria (Silva) Souza, she was the wife of the late Joseph W. Theberge.

Mrs. Theberge worked as a stitcher and inspector at the Dartmouth Finishing Co. prior to retiring. She was a parishioner of the former St. Anne’s Church in New Bedford, and she was also a member of Local 59.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary L. Martin of Dartmouth and Laura Charbonneau of Dartmouth; a nephew, George Martin of Westport; two nieces, Elaine Bispo of Fall River and Christine Munro of Westport. She was the sister of the late Larry, Louis, John, Antone, and George Souza.

Funeral Information

Private funeral services were held Tuesday, August 4, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe @ St. James Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
