Richard "Boris" LaBelle

EAST TAUNTON – Richard "Boris" LaBelle, 60, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, in the Kindred Hospital, Stoughton. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Norman and Mary (Oliver) LaBelle, he was the husband of Julie (Bulcao) LaBelle, with whom he shared a forty year marriage.

Mr. LaBelle was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and for thirty-four years he was a supervisor at Dyecraftsman in Whittenton. Prior to suffering a stroke sixteen months ago, he was employed as a custodian for the Taunton School Department.

Boris was an avid Buffalo Bills Football team fan and he and his family took many trips to see them play in Buffalo. He enjoyed cooking, singing dancing and telling jokes. Boris was a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.

Boris was the father of Lisa La Belle of East Taunton and the grandfather of Marky Brown of East Taunton. He was the brother of Norman LaBelle, Jr., of Whiting, NJ, Donald LaBelle and Joyce Jones of Berkley, and Rosemary Larkin and her husband Michael of East Taunton. He was also the uncle, cousin and nephew of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton Monday, December 28, 2009, at 9:00AM, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church, East Taunton, at 10:00AM. With interment to follow the Mass in Cedar Knoll Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 27, from 4:00-8:00PM.
