View Tribute and Sign Guestbook WILHERMINA ‘Mimi’ TARTARINI of Taunton, loving mother, grandmother and loyal servant of Jehovah God, after enduring with strength many years through the physical ailments of Schleraderma, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. Though Wilhermina lost the physical power to sustain her body, the power of her life still exists in the example she set for others to follow.
With a heart toward goodness and a positive, encouraging and hopeful spirit, all her vital force went into serving others, her family, her God Jehovah and the Christian brotherhood of which she was a part. Wilhermina had extraordinary strength in will, and while young in physical power, a tiny woman, with big muscles, she possessed an even bigger heart. She was a funny person, loving to laugh and make others laugh. She had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed dancing. Though she couldn’t really whistle well, she was constantly doing so, which just reflected the joyful spirit she had within although her outer body caused much pain. A classy person and rare beauty who always presented her best forward, she did everything ‘just so’…a tomboy… a glamour girl…an inspiring woman.
Born in Boston, of parents who emigrated from Cape Verde, she had fond memories of her parents and three other siblings when living in Weston, MA, then later in Roxbury, MA, with an added eight others. The good times they had were always in the fore of her mind.
While living in Stoughton, she began studying the bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses and was baptized in 1964. With her husband Nino, she actively raised five children in the way of bible truth. She particularly looked forward to the coming of God’s Kingdom that promises an earth to be restored to the paradise of God’s original purpose with no more sickness and of welcoming back loved ones in an earthly resurrection. She served Jehovah God faithfully for forty-three years, associated with congregations in Stoughton, Taunton and Dighton.
As a devoted mother, Wilhermina leaves five children, Diane Justinski of Taunton, Joseph Tartarini of Taunton, Karen Tartarini of Taunton, Laura Palmucci of Assonet and Michelle Georgs of Reading, along with their spouses David Justinski, Stephen Palmucci and Erich Georgs, as well as daughter-in-law Susan Tartarini. Wilhermina was in love with her four grandchildren, Crystal Jean Tartarini, Bryan Justinski, Elon Palmucci and Adrianna Tartarini. As a loving sister, Wilhermina leaves ten siblings, Sonny Senna of Carmichael, CA., John Senna of Rockland, Mary Rogers of Quincy, Agnes Oliveira of Randolph, Betty Boc of Hudson, NH, Frank Senna of Wakefield, NH., Paul Senna of Englewood, FL., Nancy Pereira of Mashpee, Lillian Caramanis of Scituate, and Donald Senna of Easton along with their spouses Marge Senna, Millie Senna, Bob Boc, Jeannie Senna, Jean Senna, Vinny Pereira, Tony Caramanis and Nancy Senna, along with twenty-two nieces and nephews whom she adored.
