View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Ruth Ann (Gagne) Morin, 55, of Fairhaven, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, in St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a long illness. She was the wife of Bruce A. Morin., with whom she shared a thirty-five year marriage.
Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Virginia (Caton) Gagne, she was a lifelong resident of the town. Ruth graduated from Fairhaven High School and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fairhaven.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and her cats. Ruth was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ruth leaves two sons, Brad W. Morin and his wife Allison of New Bedford and Eric A. Morin and his companion Felisha of Fairhaven; a daughter, Jaclyn A. Beebe and her husband Jeffrey of Sabattus, ME; a brother, Brian Gagne of Dartmouth; two sisters, Jacqueline Silveira of Mattapoisett and Diane Tanque of Fairhaven; four grandchildren, Nathan and Renee Morin, Madison Koch and Liliana Phaneuf; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Morin was the sister of the late Robert Gagne.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 9:00AM from THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main St., Fairhaven, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven, with interment in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
