View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Beatrice M. (Desrosiers) Lapointe., 90, of Swansea Mall Drive formerly of Bark Street in Swansea passed away Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center in Fall River she was the wife of the late Victor L. Lapointe . Born in Fall River, MA on October 18, 1916 the daughter of the late Jean Baptiste Desrosiers and Aurore (Levesque) Desrosiers.
She worked for a short time as a seamstress in the garment industry in Fall River, and then raised her family. She was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea, and enjoyed knitting and traveling.
Survivors are six daughters Sister Claudette A. Lapointe RJM of Warwick, RI Rita B. Lefebvre of Saint Peters, Missouri Claire T. Belden of Fall River, MA Alice M. Willard of Swansea, MA Muriel J. Saunders of Assonet, MA Laurette Shabshelowitz of Westport, MA a son Ronald V. Lapointe of Middleboro, MA ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Cecile Boulay, Alice Renaud, and Norman Jean, and Roger Desrosiers.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Louis de France Church 56 Bufinton St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. CALLING HOURS FRIDAY 4-7pm.
