View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Ruth (Gonsalves) Davenport, 92, died Monday, November 9, 2009, in Longmeadow of Taunton. Born in Onset, the daughter of the late Peter and Perpetua Gonsalves, she was the wife of the late Robert Davenport. She and her family had been residents of Brockton many years ago.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Davenport of Auburndale; and her grandchildren, Sarah Sheehan and her husband Michael of South Boston and Matthew Davenport and his wife Ai of Weston. Ruth was the great-grandmother of Isabel Sheehan of South Boston. She was the mother-in-law of the late Janice Davenport.
