RAYNHAM – Mary Brennan Schanck, 57, died in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Saturday, July 12, 2008. Born in Fall River, the daughter Edmund and Virginia (Welch) Brennan, formerly of Taunton, now of South Dartmouth, MA, she was the wife of Richard Schanck of Raynham, with whom she shared twenty-five years of married life.

A graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Bishop Cassidy High School in Taunton, Mrs. Schanck attended Westfield and Bridgewater State Colleges. She enjoyed cooking, baking, creating her arts and crafts, but most importantly, spending time with her beloved family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schanck leaves her daughter, Beth Schanck of Raynham. She was the sister of Elizabeth McDermott and her husband Thomas of Raynham, Lillian Carney and her husband Patrick of South Dartmouth, Edmund Brennan and his wife Deborah of Raynham, and John Brennan and his wife Gloria of Intervale, NH. She was the sister of the late Virginia Czerny and the sister-in-law of Walter Czerny of South Dartmouth. She leaves many nieces, nephews and loved ones, and was the daughter-in-law of Ruth Schanck of Largo, FL, and the sister-in-law of Carolanne Garau of Largo, FL.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church, Raynham, Thursday, July 17, 2008, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow the Mass in the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 16, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton.
